“I am inspired by fellow mom/runners who balance both worlds and continue to make being a mom a priority while running the best they can.”
Mother to two young girls, and part time preschool teacher, Ashley Nordell's impressive balance of the two worlds has led to great success in her running career. In 2016 alone, she has held first place finishes and course records at Bighorn 100 and Ozark 100.
Just a few of Ashley’s career highlights are her two wins at the Angeles Crest 100, her three wins at the
Bighorn 100, a course record and win at the Tetons 100, ninth at the Western States 100, and third at Leadville.
The grace and humility with which she carries these honors is an amazing accomplishment in itself.
“I have a pretty sensitive stomach, so I shy away from bars with lots of ingredients. I like how these are simple, taste good, and don’t have a lot of the ingredients that give me stomach issues. Plus, anything with coconut and chocolate is right up my alley.”
