Not everyone gets to seek their passions professionally, but Sebastian Dirringer has been fortunate. Sebastian’s hunger for adventure and pursuit of recreational sports led him to take up rock climbing and trail running.
“I became fascinated with rock formations and why they often have patterns that can be observed. A natural step for me was to study geology. In my current profession as an engineering geologist, my job description ranges from rappelling off steep cliffs to determine rock quality, classifying soils from landslide shear zones, and creating interactive maps for transportation departments.”
