Introducing #skoutoutside!

Skout Film Fest #1_Square_1

We are thrilled to announce the launch of a series of our own events in the Portland area! Our aim with #skoutoutside is to open a dialog within the PNW outdoor community to share stories, enthusiasm, and knowledge from ongoing adventures.

Our first event is the SKOUT BACKCOUNTRY FILM FEST

Price: Free
When: January 31st, 2017
Time: Doors at 6pm, Film at 6:30
Where: Base Camp Brewing // 930 SE Oak St, Portland

We're stoked for the chance to feature National Geographic's Incognita Patagonia as the headlining film!

Mendi Film Festival Patagonia IncognitaIn early 2016, a team of five explorers set out to traverse the Cloue Icefield of Chile - mapping glaciers, climbing major peaks, and producing a high-quality map of the region. But sometimes even the experts are challenged by the unexpected...

One Step at a TimeCo-headlining the film fest is Steven Mortinson's One Step at a Time In July 2016, three ultrarunners - Scott Loughney, Yassine Diboun, and Travis Liles - attempted to set a new Fastest Known Time (FKT) of the Oregon Section of the Pacific Crest Trail.

Following the headliners will be a series of short films from our own ambassador team, sharing takes of their 2016 excursions.

Watch the hashtag #skoutoutside for information on upcoming events... Next on our schedule is the SKOUT BACKCOUNTRY SPEAKER SERIES.

A three-part speaker series will take place at Base Camp Brewing where our ambassadors will share about their experiences with various sports, gear, training, and nutrition! Save the dates: February 21st, March 21st, and April 18th.
